The snow fell thickly, covering the ground,
Muffling, deadening the world of sound.
The wounds on the people’s broken hearts ache,
While they close their minds until they break.
They strive and try, but their work undone,
The start, the end of everything has begun.
Themselves and nothing more is all they see,
And as they watch the birds flying in the sky so free,
They cry silently,
Darkening hearts bearing unshed tears,
Darkening hearts bearing unspoken prayers.
For the start of the end has begun.
The snow fell thickly, covering the world from sight,
Once green as summer would ever be, gone with the snow so bright.
Seasons that come and go never ending, disappeared.
The snow, the cold, the ice came as people feared.
They close their eyes, they close their minds,
Seeing and hearing nothing but the song of the winds.
Blinded themselves from the truth of the dying world,
The wind continues its song, around them it swirled.
Caressing them, persuading them into its embrace,
Until they follow, quietly disappearing without a trace.
The end of the everything has begun,
The people are slowly undone.
Would you reach out to me ignoring yourself?
And perhaps salvation would come to oneself.
The end of everything has come,
When death knocks and the people succumb.
